SERENITY

"You want to see a world without sin?"

Serenity was a beautiful, moving and violent film - Whedonesque and, therefore, quite enjoyable. At some point I will come back to Mal's question above - but for now, just a hearty recommendation.

I can't wait to see that movie!! I am going on Monday. Did you see the whole series of Firefly?

Anyway, I am commenting primarily to inform you of my decision to enter the military. It will be good for me I think. I hope to be in Linguistics or computer something-or-other.

I am going to sign up this week. I'll keep you updated.

I, also, can't wait to see Serenity! But clearly, on some level, I can wait because it's now Monday, and I haven't seen it.

Oh yeah. I saw it. I loved it. Although at parts I was very upset... it was in a good way... I guess.

Nicole and I saw it last night; REALLY enjoyed it. One question, though. What was River being created/designed to do? Was she the Alliance's weapon against the outworld dwellers (who didn't fall in line)? Some sort of uber aggressive type that could go in and karate chop them to death, moving from one planet to the next?

One clarification, too. All Reavers (sp?) are Outworld Dwellers but not all Outworld Dwellers are Reavers, right?

Yeah, really liked the movie. The scenes with the assassin were especially enjoyable. Some good dialogue with him. I also very much enjoyed the interaction of Serenity's crew. "Do you wanna run this ship?!?!" "Yeah, I do!" "... um ... well, you can't!"

Ron, which character reminded you of me? The sex-motivated mechanic, was it?

Peace,
Xander
