A traveling day. Even though we prepare ourselves by the wilderness for serving God, God is not absent. Also from the Scalzo cloister, here is another non-biblical depiction of John and Christ meeting in the wilderness while youths. To prepare ourselves for serving the Lord, we must recognize him when he comes. To do this, we are dependent on his coming near to show himself to us even in our preparatoin. Thank you for coming to me, Lord, in all the ways and through all the people you do - please open my eyes to see you more.
