In him [Jesus Christ]
also you were circumcised with a non-physical circumcision by the removal of
the fleshly body, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in
baptism, in which also you were raised through faith in the working of God who
raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and in the
uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you
alive together with him, forgiving all your sins. He has erased the record of
debts against us with the obligations it held over us; he removed it by nailing
it to the cross. After he disarmed the rulers and authorities, he openly
disgraced them, triumphing over them in the cross.
