to walk worthily of the Lord, pleasing him in all respects

Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming, it is near--

In observance of Lent, I have determined to offer up prayers in pictures [I've taken] and occasional reflections in words. I entrust these words and images to God our Savior; may they be a blessing and may they lead us to leave behind the sin that so easily entangles.
"Whatever there is around you or inside you that could be ground for presumption, throw it away from you. Let God be your whole presumption; let your neediness be for him, that you may be filled with him; for whatever else you may have without him will leave you still more profoundly empty." St. Augustine, on Ps 86 (Enarrationes ad Psalmos)
