One of the criticisms of Notre Dame football (I am an Irish fan) is that it can't have academically successful student athletes and win a championship. I wonder if Weis will be able to accomplish this seemingly impossible feat because he seems to combine intellect and football so well. This gives a decent sense of what the Irish are getting. I think I will enjoy seeing how Weis - who met the challenges of the Steelers' and the Eagles' defenses so well - meets this new challenge.
